During our one-year traineeship, you will improve your professional competence and acquire knowledge and skill. You will get to know Van Oord, your colleagues and our projects. The extensive training programme consists of a series of work periods in the Netherlands and abroad, safety training on land and at sea, and a course in cultural awareness, conversational techniques and project management. You will visit a project in the Netherlands and also spend sixteen weeks abroad (two postings of eight weeks each) as a supervised member of a project execution team. You will learn about the production process on board a trailing suction hopper dredger, cutter suction dredger or side stone dumping vessel. You will get to know the company by working internships in various departments.
After each work period, you will take part in an interactive follow-up meeting to give you a chance to share your impressions with other trainees. If both sides are enthusiastic after this intensive programme, we will reach agreement with you about your future and your career, tailored to your own talents, wishes and ambition.
