Description

The European Graduate Programme is Sony's two year programme which combines on-the-job and off-the-job development. From day one you will be working on business projects contributing within a team to current business strategy. We will give you the opportunity to progress and succeed, and in return we want you to make the most of it. That means taking personal responsibility for making a real and visible contribution to the business as well as your own career.

Is it the right programme for you?

You will certainly bring an excellent academic track record in a business related subject, together with relevant experience (such as internships, summer positions, placements).

But that is not all. More important is your approach to challenges and your drive for success. You should be dedicated and flexible enough to follow the demands of your future within Sony. You will take responsibility for your own actions and decisions, and be committed to anticipate, adapt and drive continuous innovation.

The diversity of our business means the options are truly exciting.

The aim of the European Graduate Programme is to equip you with the skills necessary to contribute to our organisation on an international level. Over the course of your projects or assignments during the programme, you will build a broad base of experience that we value in Sony. The underlying result of the programme is for you to network within different parts of the business. Networking is a key component to the programme, to give you the necessary tools and develop the necessary skills in order to carve your career at Sony and find a permanent position at the end of the programme.

As Sony is operating in a global marketplace, we are looking for the our next generation of internationally-minded players, you have to be prepared to be mobile across Europe - not just for the duration of the programme, but also throughout your career after the European Graduate Programme.

Rotation:
Two assignments over the two years in different European countries. You must therefore be prepared to live and work away from home.

Locations:
The main European locations where we will be rotating the participants are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, UK.

Functions:
You will work in one or more of the following functions during the two years depending on your background and future career path - Sales & Marketing (incl. Sales Administration, Project Management), Business Development, Finance, Accounting, Planning & Control, Reporting, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics and IT.

Our business is dynamic, constantly evolving with new developments in technology and in the marketplace. Business needs - and the opportunities they create - do not stay stable for long, therefore flexibility and adaptability are vital for us. Equally, we believe that your needs are dynamic; they will change over time.

Your assignments will be determined by matching your profile to the overall business strategy priorities, meaning you will be able to make a difference in Sony. As our organisation is very diverse, there are a lot of possibilities. During your time as a participant of the programme you will have a real role, in real operational positions, carrying real responsibilities. Alongside this, your development will include a core programme of general business-related modules and relevant skills workshops. Throughout the programme, you will be supported by a personal mentor in the business to help you gain optimum value from the experiences.
