Description

The Siemens Graduate Program (SGP) is a two-year working program designed for future general managers. It prepares the participants for managerial tasks they will encounter in their career - both in general or in technical areas - and was developed for ambitious career beginners who have completed their studies with a university degree. We look for qualified applicants for this program who are interested in a management career with Siemens.

Program structure
The SGP is a two-year program divided into three assignments/rotations, each lasting eight months. One of these assignments takes place abroad. During your whole SGP you will work at least in two different functions of the same business area; for example, in Purchasing, Development, Sales or Marketing, etc. The program has a work-related focus.

The SGP awaits you in many countries
The SGP especially enhances your career in the country in which you begin the program. You can start the SGP in many countries. In all countries apart from Germany, however, you need to already be employed at a Siemens subsidiary in that country (local application in appropriate country). After the right amount of time your supervisor can recommend you for the SGP. This will be the start of your selection process for the program in that country.

General information
Hires are on a continual basis throughout the year. The ideal time to apply is three months prior to when you wish to begin working. If you are short-listed, you will pass through interviews and be given an online assessment. Should you successfully complete the entire selection process, you will be under contract with Siemens Germany throughout and after the program. Employment in the SGP is nationwide. The location of your placement depends on the Siemens Group hiring you. The same applies to your assignment abroad.

Requirements

If you are interested in participating in the SGP in Germany:

What you'll need

  • You have a convincing personality, are self-assured and have well-developed communication skills
  • You are flexible, mobile and open-minded
  • You are interested in an international experience
  • You have studied or worked abroad for at least 6 months
  • You have an excellent command of German and English (business level)
  • You have completed a university-level degree in engineering, science or economics with top results
  • Your grades in electronics/science should correspond to the German GPA of 2.5; in economics and other fields of study to the German GPA of 1.8.

Then you have an excellent chance of being accepted into the Siemens Graduate Program.
