Only the very best candidates qualify for the Finance Excellence Program. Each year, some 20 graduates with majors in business science or finance are given the chance to prove themselves by developing solutions to a variety of business-related challenges. By meeting these demands, they are able to grow and thus prepare themselves in the best possible way for a long and successful management career.
The Finance Excellence Program consists of two very intensive years of learning performed in one of Siemens' groups or corporate units. The program will require you to assume responsibility for interesting and demanding projects from the very first day.
Thanks to your active participation in operational tasks and international projects you'll soon become acquainted with the enormous business spectrum of one of the world's leading international corporations. Regular feedback and mentoring will provide the necessary orientation.
The Finance Excellence Program will require you to give your all. But you'll get even more in return. The personal and professional development that you'll experience during this time will shape your career for years to come.

Your personal performance will be examined regularly during this time. Most importantly, after these two years of intense learning you will need to show us how far you have come, both professionally and personally, and whether we will be able to entrust you with a leading position.

Training & Development
The successes achieved by Siemens over the years and indeed over the centuries are based on vast experience and expertise as well as a fiery ambition to find answers to questions which affect society and mankind as a whole. The continuous development of Siemens trainees serves as the basis for each and every career. Executive skills and other competencies are taught and trained successively. During this time you'll also get to know the company and its values - in all aspects and on every level.
And we assure you of one very important thing: You'll never be left alone! From the very first day you'll have an experienced mentor at your side who will be representing the management level, either a Chief Financial Officer or a divisional manager. This partnership will provide you all the support you'll need to meet the professional and personal challenges of the Finance Excellence Program.

Work-Life Balance

In the end, we're all people, not machines. That's why one of the core values at Siemens is for each employee to achieve a harmonious balance between working and personal life. After all, only those individuals whose personal life is happy and fulfilled will be able to perform well professionally over the long term.
Siemens will also actively support you in your efforts to achieve personal goals with a wide range of offers and opportunities. Part-time work schemes, flexible working hours and the possibility of sabbaticals are just some of the opportunities available to you. We also assist with other issues and aspects of your private life, such as the arrangement of daycare and kindergarten places for your children and special sports and recreation programs. Whatever your individual requirements are - Siemens will always find a solution for high-performers.

Selection Process

If your application meets the demands of the Finance Excellence Program, then the next step will be a telephone interview. If during the course of this conversation you are able to confirm your initial impression, then you'll be invited to present yourself by way of personal interviews. You'll be holding your talks with various experienced Siemens managers.
These interviews consist of two parts: one personal, the other professional. During the personal part of the interview, we will ask you to tell us a little bit about yourself, your interests, views and values. During the professional part of the interview, you'll be asked to deal with the problems of an everyday business situation. Here you'll have the opportunity to show your interviewers how you would go about using your expertise to develop solutions to complex tasks or problems. Details are far less important than the presentation of analytical ability and strategic thought.
Your results will be discussed directly after the first interview. If all went well, you'll be invited back for a second round of talks. Again, results thereof will be discussed directly after conclusion of the interview. If you have convinced us, we'll make you an offer on the very same day.

With Siemens you have found a company that enables you to realize your potential to the fullest. Here, you'll find future prospects of truly global dimensions. Correspondingly, however, our expectations of potential candidates for the Finance Excellence Program are very high.

Do you have a strong character, communicative competence and analytic ability? Moreover, have you completed your business studies at or near the top of your class? If the answer to both of these questions is "yes", then the Finance Excellence Program may be able to offer you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a decisive step on the road to a successful career. A temporary stay abroad of noteworthy duration and initial experience in the finance sector form the ideal basis for expanding on your skills and expertise. We'll also expect you to bring along a high degree of flexibility, a broad mind and an absolute willingness to perform.
