Description

The Trainee Program contains of the following phases:

Semester 1 - Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification
Semester 2 - Practical work experience
Semester 3 - Cisco Certified Network Professional or Oracle Certified 

                        Professional certification
Semester 4 - Practical work experience
Semester 5 - Practical work experience Optional! Combination of practical work

                       experience and other valuable short course trainings
Semester 6 - Practical work experience

Examples of placements

  1. 1. and 2. semester

    Combination of instructor led training and practical work with provided hardware. Trainees will be sent to various IT projects to assist with on site tasks. This will give the trainees the opportunity for practical utilisation of their new skills.

  2. 3. and 4. semester

    Intense training to achieve the second major certification for either CCNP or OCP certification. IT Skill International will again provide a combination of instructor led training, self study, exam cram and practical training exercises.

  3. 5. and 6. semester

    A combination of possible trainings and IT project work. The trainees will be given some additional short training sessions suited to the IT path that has been agreed by the trainee, HR and IT Skill International Management. It will include specialty courses such as SAN management, special backup software, Network management tools, network monitoring tools, deployment tools.

After the program

The applicant will be subject to a trial period of employment of 6 months during which applicant´s suitability and job competencies can be accurately determined.

Requirements

Degree or tertiary equivalent to Masters degree in Information Technology

  • Desire to grow a career in mainstream International IT
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic international IT team
  • Ability to provide on call availability for support when required (including out of hours)
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products and associated applications for office automation
  • Reasonable or good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • A maintained valid passport and ability to travel within Europe (Applicant must be prepared to travel when required)
  • Self motivated, with the ability to think for yourself
