Description

This three year graduate programme consists of rotations in both Sales and Marketing roles in our business for you to gain broad experience early in your career.  Examples of the different roles in both Sales and Marketing are below.

The locations recruiting for 2008 are below, please state your preferred location and let us know if you are flexible on location.

UK - London & nationwide for Sales, Ireland - Dublin & nationwide for Sales, Spain & Portugal - Madrid or Lisbon, Germany - Frankfurt, Poland - Warsaw, Russia - Moscow, Italy - Turin, Greece - Athens

European moves will be fully supported from the final year of the programme onwards.  During the three year rotational programme all participants will take part in key functional and leadership development programmes, such as the Diageo Way of Brand Building, Sales Foundation training and People Manager Development as well as participating in cross functional projects to further develop commercial skills.

Please note you need to have rights to work in the country you apply to as well as fluency in the language as well as fluent English.

Sales
Example roles on the graduate programme are as a Business Development Executive (both on and off trade), an Area Sales manager or Retail Execution Executive.

Marketing
Example roles on the graduate programme are as an Assistant or Junior Brand manager or Marketing Assistant.

Requirements

In order to be eligible to apply you must have:
  • Obtained or be predicted to obtain an upper second class honours degree in any discipline
  • A minimum of 300 UCAS points (or equivalent) with minimum B grade in Maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent). Please provide the appropiate level of CAO points for the Irish Educational System. 
  • Be available to start work in September 2008.  Unfortunately we are unable to offer deferred places.
  • Graduated in the last 2 years (no earlier than 2006)
  • Geographical flexibility in terms of your work location
  • A driving licence for Sales positions
  • A proven interest in the business area you are applying to, e.g. work experience, internship, placement, project or voluntary work
  • Real examples of:
        o Passion and energy for Diageo
        o Self awareness of your strengths and development areas
        o Excellent commercial awareness.
