This gives them the breadth and depth of skills needed to build an outstanding career within our energy business." - Jake Ulrich, Managing Director of Centrica Energy Our two and a half year programme will give you exposure to a cross-section of Centrica Energy assets and operations. During the programme you’ll have 2, 1 year placements. These will cover the core areas of Centrica’s energy production business including time in a power station, working with Hydrocarbon Resources Ltd (the upstream gas production business with offshore facilities in Morecambe Bay) These will be placed in the north at Heysham or Brigg. You will then be given the opportunity to have a 6 month non technical placement in the commercially focused head offices at Windsor or Uxbridge. Your placements are spread across the UK to allow for the exposure to both the upstream energy production sites of hydrocarbon processing and electricity generation and the commercial perspective from head office.

Workshops, away days and training will set you up with the basics. We will run development centres to continue to help you gauge your performance and potential, which will help you formulate your personal development plan at the end of the first and second years. Where relevant, you will have the opportunity to study for professional qualifications such as the Certificate of Management Accounting, Certificate in Personnel Development or Certificate in Marketing. RequirementsWho we're looking for? We are looking for self driven, high-calibre individuals, able to grasp complex commercial issues. In return we promise to provide the support, guidance and opportunities that are the key to creating the next generation of business leaders. For General Management, Finance and Information Systems a minimum 2:2 degree classification is required in any subject. For Engineering a 2:2 is required in a related discipline and for Geoscience a 2:2 in a related discipline and an MSc is required.
