If pushing the boundaries and getting consumers excited about products is what drives you, a career in Marketing at AkzoNobel could be for you.

From exploring new trends and targeting consumer needs to finding the perfect way to bring a product to market, you’ll face fresh challenges every day.

AkzoNobel has some of the biggest DIY brands in the UK and are brand leaders in most of our markets.

Whether you’re working Business-2-Business or Business-2-Consumer, you could find yourself organizing product launches, liaising with external agencies over brand communications or dealing with market research, sales and technical teams to explore marketing opportunities.

Examples of placements

Other entry-level positions:

Area Management Assistant, Junior Account/Sales Manager and (International) Business Analyst

We want tomorrow’s leaders, the next generation of high-fliers. If you’ve got talent, ambition and determination, AkzoNobel can offer you a career that both challenges and rewards.

You’ll need to speak English fluently – we may be a global company, but it’s our universal business language. You’ll also need to be eligible to work non-restrictively throughout the EU for European jobs. Some work experience would be great, too.

We’ll consider you for most roles no matter what your degree subject – as long as it’s at least a 2:1 in the UK or equivalent in Europe, the USA and Asia. But some jobs do have specific academic needs, so it’s vital to check that you meet the criteria. View our current list of graduate, placement and internship vacancies.

Personal Qualities

At AkzoNobel, we expect you to work hard – just as you expect us to help you fulfill your potential.

So you’ll need to show drive and initiative, have an open mind and a mature attitude. We want confident people who can think strategically, communicate well and work as part of a team, even under pressure.

Together, the company and you will continue to enhance your strengths in these areas. The six competencies are:

  • Results Orientation
  • Customer Focus
  • Quality Commitment
  • Innovation
  • Teamwork
  • Commitment to Values

We also want to know why you’ve chosen us and why you’re the best person for the job.

Study background: Economics, or technical training and business administration with a strong marketing emphasis.
