Description

Now accepting resumes for the 2008 summer internship program
Cardinal Health provides college students the opportunity to do more than just think about their future careers... they can actually try it. As an intern, you'll work with other Cardinal Health professionals, as well as our business partners, customers and vendors. Your contributions will start on the first day, working on meaningful and exciting projects that will give you the hands-on experience you need to build a solid foundation for your career. Internship opportunities are available acros our entire company with most positions based in Dublin, OH (Columbus); San Diego, California; and Waukegan, Illinois (Chicago).

Our program

  • Early responsibility: We encourage our managers to provide interns with one substantial project to work on throughout their internship, as well as day-to-day tasks. All interns will have an opportunity to showcase their
    work throughout the internship.
  • Experience: Not only do interns gain experience from their daily work, but they have an opportunity to become immersed in our company culture and learn more about our business through facility tours.
  • Networking: As an intern, you’ll work side-by-side with other Cardinal Health employees. We also provide opportunities for you to meet with senior leaders in small-group settings and to work on
    projects with other interns.
  • Mentoring: A mentoring component is built into Cardinal Health’s internship program. This ensures our interns have access to managers who can answer their questions and help guide their work throughout the internship.
  • Feedback: During the experience, interns will receive two performance evaluations to support their development. Interns are expected to perform to Cardinal Health’s high standards.
  • Camaraderie: Did we mention fun? Our program includes opportunities for you to meet other interns and assume leadership roles as part of community service and other team-building events.

Benefits
Activities vary by location, but can include professional workshops, executive speakers, mentor opportunities, facility tours, community service projects and social events. Interns receive a competitive salary based on the student's school year standing and major. They are also paid for the company holidays during which they are employed. For some internships, housing assistance may be available in the form of apartment recommendations or partial lodging subsidies.
